Kitchen Table Covers Week 8: Stand By Me

I had so much fun recording "Stand By Me" this week 🤓. It also really got me thinking about 1986 River Phoenix, who still makes me swoon, which I guess is weird now that I'm an adult.

This song is completely different that anything that I've sent you.  I added an electric guitar, vocal harmonies and percussion (using instruments I found in my girls' toy basket!), but I think the most important thing was that I got to PLAY. As in what kids do, and adults forget to do. 

This track is a departure from the "acoustic and raw" vibe that was originally my intent with Kitchen Table Covers,  but I'm happy about that. Who knows what the future holds for this project, but I'll remember to keep "playing"!
